- Sammie truly enjoys teaching the new generation of nurses about the specialty that is so close to her heart.
Sammie West is a registered nurse with over 12 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Her specialty is in women's services, including nursing practice in postpartum, nursery, NICU, and pediatrics. Sammie obtained her ADN in 2013 at Johnson County Community College in Kansas then pursued a BSN in 2018, graduating Cum Laude, from University of Central Missouri. Sammie is now a full-time nursing instructor at Texas County Technical College where she educates LPN and RN students in the care of women and children.
Sammie recently moved to the area. After moving from state to state for 20 years, her husband retired from the military and her family decided to build their forever-home in Licking, near her husband's family. She enjoys spending time on their 70-acre farm, sitting in the rocking chair on their front porch, and watching their children play and explore their new farm. She will be adding chickens, a jersey cow, and highland cattle to their farm!
