"Now that I am an instructor, I am reminded of the importance of small class sizes. Our class sizes are usually between 20-30 students and there are plenty of instructors for students. As a student, I could always go to instructors to ask for help and talk to them, and now I aim to do the same for my students. I chose TCTC mostly because of the location and the ability to work full time and go to school full time, but once I got here I got to know everybody and they all wanted to see their students succeed because we live in the same town and they want the community to succeed."

"I worked three days a week, went to classes one day a week, and clinicals one day a week, and the other two days I spent studying. I had my daughter during Christmas break of my RN year, so she was so little which made it easy to get most of my stuff done. I’m glad that I have the job security now and I can support her in anything she wants to do because of it. "

"Clarice and Chelsye will do absolutely everything they can to find financial help for you. They set me up with programs and grants and all kinds of things that made my whole experience there care-free. While it is a little more costly, they do more for you than other schools when it comes to finding you assistance. TCTC is a nursing school, so they know what kind of help nurses can get, where other schools that try to juggle all kinds of programs simply don’t care about helping you get aid."

"Each and every one of those teachers truly cared about what was going on with their students. I grew tremendously as a person, mentally, emotionally, intellectually in nursing school. "Coming to TCTC for nursing school was the best decision I’ve ever made because they worked so well with my schedule. My two girls always come first and TCTC allowed me to go to school as a full-time student while still working as a full-time med-surg nurse with 40 plus hours a week and I could still be a full-time mom without missing out on important events in my daughters’ lives. Not many nursing schools allow you to do that. I felt so loved and welcomed at that school and I honestly did not have one bad part at TCTC."
