Your very first step to applying for one of our programs is to submit a contact form. After you submit the form, we will contact you to answer your questions and set up your initial appointment. Please fill out the following form and click submit.

Your next step is to speak with our admissions staff. Some of our new students are nervous or unsure about the application process, but we’re here to take all the guesswork out of applying and to help you every step of the way. Test

*COVID-19 NOTICE – EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY* The TEAS and ATI PN Comprehensive Predictor testing has resumed and will take place on campus, in person. Call 417-967-5466 for an appointment. TCTC is limiting number applicants per room and sanitizing equipment between each use. Due to COVID-19, we continue to monitor guidance from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as local requirements to update our protocols as needed.

Applicants are required to pass a general entrance test in order to be accepted into TCTC programs. Although we allow applicants to call any time for an admissions meeting, we require appointments for testing. Please call 417-967-5466 to make an appointment.

How should I prepare?

Most of our applicants like to prepare by going through a few example test questions to see what to expect. Below you will find links for each program’s entrance exam study materials, as well as what to expect on the exam.

Practical Nursing Entrance Exam:

TEAS – Testing of Essential Academic Skills

The test is comprised of four sections: English, Math, Science, and Reading. Testers are allotted 209 minutes to take the exam and two attempts.

Accelerated LPN to RN Bridge Exam:

PN Predictor

The exam is 180 NCLEX-style questions that test the students comprehensive LPN knowledge. Testers are allotted 180 minutes to take the exam and two attempts.

What is the deadline for your application period?

We fill our program cohorts on a first come, first qualified, first served basis, so our application deadline is when the upcoming program cohort becomes full. Anyone accepted after the program cohort is full will be put on a waitlist for the next program cohort. In some cases, slots in an upcoming, full program cohort may become available in the case that a student in the upcoming cohort opts not to start.

How do transfer credits work?

After starting your application with us, if you have college credits from another school, you may request an official transcript be sent to us from that institution. Once we receive your TCTC application and official transcripts from your previous institution, our registrar will evaluate your transcript and we will let you know which classes, if any, are eligible for transfer.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept transfer credits for our core nursing classes; only general education classes will be evaluated. For transfer credit eligibility, please see our Student Catalog for a list of requirements.
